Hi, I'm Alec Buchler, the founder and owner of Pine & Peak.
I originally dreamed up Pine & Peak in December of 2024 in Steamboat Springs Colorado, after an AP Spanish class where we discussed the clothing industry (in Spanish of course). During my next class I realized the Rocky Mountains was never the focus of any clothing brand, and Pine & Peak was born. I knew almost immediately that I wanted the logo to be a ram as I felt it best captured the spirit of the Rockies. I went home and began dreaming up ideas for shirts and designing the first Pine & Peak designs.
However after some pushback by my friends and family on the idea and I gave up on my dream with it never fully leaving my mind. I worked on some designs for shirts here and there but never really took my dream seriously.
I graduated from Steamboat Springs High School in May of 2025 and moved down to Florida in the summer before beginning my attendance of the University of Alabama. By my first semesters end I was incredibly homesick, not for my new home in Florida, but for Colorado and the Rocky Mountains.
After spending two days in Steamboat during winter break before returning to Florida, driven by my longing for Colorado, I decided to come back to Pine & Peak. I began creating designs inspired by Steamboat and more broadly Colorado while using the designs I'd already created.
I spent the majority of my winter break working on shirt designs and other products for Pine & Peak and ensuring our website was clean and easy to use. I ordered samples and tweaked my designs until they were as close to perfect as possible. Thus creating the product lineup you now see before you.
